When a core network component is down or in the process of being built, standard remote access tools cannot function. If your business is involved in managing remote sites, or providing guaranteed availability, this can severely impact customer service levels and response times. In order to maintain Service Level Agreements for remote sites, field service visits, or a reliance on third parties are often necessary.

Communication Devices International (CDI) are in the business of providing very secure remote access solutions to connect you to core network devices, typically firewall, switch, router or even a terminal server. Connecting you directly to the console and power ports enabling a Command Line connection and/or reboot. By using PSTN dial up, supplemented by GPRS or IP, they provide a redundant management path to resolve the issue, after which normal tools take over.

They are unique in the way that they deliver this secure 'back door', since the RSA SecureID® 2-factor authentication stage does not require network resources to operate, as they feature an in-built ACE server.  This means you are guaranteed secure access, irrespective of network availability.

They encrypt at AES level providing most secure true out of band connection available on the market.
