CL-Amp

CL-Amp

The CL-Amp is a unique, purpose built and innovative 'non-invasive' monitoring solution, designed as part of Unite Technologies retrofit capability, to monitor and manage new and legacy data centres to regain power and cooling capacity, and help clients understand their power usage and identify available capacity, without scheduled power downtime associated with traditional monitoring technologies.

An open fork in the CL-Amp enables it to be placed directly over a power cable and a choice of locking-ring collars, to suit most international 13A, 16A and 32A cable sizes, are provided. Each locking-ring separates into two halves and is placed around the power cable and pushed into the CL-Amp clamping bore, retaining the cable with a neat twist and lock action. A very lightweight (135gm) and compact device (134mm x 88.5mm x 41mm), it is designed to be installed at any convenient location on the cable.

'Non-invasive' real-time local and remote monitoring of current is enabled for any device or power strip, rated up to 32A, and is achieved by connecting the CL-Amp to one of Unite Technologies family of Sinetica branded, monitoring and control devices. Additionally, optional software enables polling and data capture, providing detailed management information and reports for capacity planning and trend analysis.

  • Brings monitoring functionality to non-intelligent power strips.
  • Local monitoring is via a two digit LED display.
  • Cable collars supplied to support: 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm & 18mm diameter cables.
  • Current measuring range 1.0 Ampere to 60 Amperes.
  • Measured supply range: 90VAC ~ 250VAC. Frequency: 50Hz ~ 60Hz A.C.
  • 12V DC power supply @ 60mA (typically supplied direct from PowerHawk², Hawk-i², Hawk-i³ and Eagle-i unit).
  • Direct RJ45 connection to the Hawk-i², Hawk-i³, PowerHawk², and Eagle-i monitoring units via an RS232/RS485 communication protocol.
  • Can be calibrated to cable types to typically provide ħ3% accuracy Ampere current readings.
